Young football players of Bosnian origin living abroad have gathered today at the FFBIH training center in Zenica, where they'll try to show their skills and prove themselves to coaches Karacic, Malkocevic, Erbez and Dzidic in the next three days.

Scouts involved in this selection were Omer Boskailo, Munib Salkanovic, Namik Alimajstorovic, Murat Salih and Erick Franch from USA. Attendees were welcomed by general secretary Jasmin Bakovic, technical director Denijal Piric and youth teams coordinator Murat Jaha.

Piric: "This gathering concludes this month's male youth preparations. The last group consists of players who live abroad and in the next three days they will demonstrate their skills to BIH youth teams' managers and possibly earn an invitation to one of our Under-19, Under-17 or Under-15 teams. In addition to players from Europe, this time we have welcomed several players from the US and Canada. Scouting process was performed by our friends and experts who work abroad, however coaches Karacic, Malkocevic, and Erbez will have the final say. I expect serious work and effort in order to achieve our goal."

Boskailo: "Unfortunately we couldn't count on all who were invited because this camp wasn't scheduled during the official UEFA date. However there's still plenty of good material among young men who made their way to Zenica today, and we'll try to gather them again during the next free UEFA period. Previous camps have been very successful, a certain number of players already went through BIH youth teams, and we want to continue with that trend."

Football player Ahmo Jasarevic from Germany: "I'm proud to be here and I'd like to thank everyone who helped me. I hope I'll be given the opportunity play for Bosnia and Herzegovina national team."

Player Anadin Vejo from Austria: "This invitation means a lot for me and my career and motivates me to practice harder and invest in myself so that one day I get to play for my country's national team."

The players performed a test match earlier today, with three more in the coming days so that all who were invited have the opportunity to show whether they can join one of the youth teams or not.
