Football camp for elite young football players which was held in Mostar over the past seven days, has been concluded today. Unfortunately due to bad weather conditions, the boys couldn't play the scheduled exhibition match today. However, the camp was deemed successful.
Camp manager Darko Ljubojevic: "We've managed to accomplish more than we planned to. I think the boys who have stayed with us for the past week were enriched by this valuable experience. The camp has served its purpose; all participants, including us coaches, have learned a lot here. Towards the end, the quality was more apparent. We certainly have 4-5 extraordinary football talents, but that doesn't mean that those who showed a little less can't follow them. The idea is to maintain quality and continuity outside of the field, because that's how good football players do today."
In addition to two training sessions per day, the participants had a number of other contents. They listened to several professional and football-tailored lectures on English language, computer science, healthy diet, injury prevention, code of conduct.
The new camp for the Herzegovina region will take place in Citluk on Monday.
"We'll be working with the players born in 2003 the same way we did with this older group. The experiences from the camp in Mostar will certainly come in handy", concluded Ljubojevic. He also pointed out the good cooperation with the City hotel staff, HSK Zrinjski football club, and the Arena Sports Center in Mostar whose courts they had at their disposal.
