UEFA Grassroots program

Within the UEFA Grassroots program, this Saturday, the first “Orphan Cup” was held in the “Home for Abandoned Children” in the Sarajevo settlement of Bjelave - a children’s joy project.

Over 50 girls and boys aged 8 to 18, divided into two groups, had football fun workshops and competitions. The team that will represent this House at the end of the Cup, which will be held in Zenica within the Grassroots week in September this year, was also selected.

Grassroots program means football for everyone, regardless of gender, age, ability, national, religious or racial affiliation. With regard to these tournaments, children with special needs are also included, and similar gatherings will be held in Grassroots weekend in several cities throughout Bosnia and Herzegovina.
