A quality test for us

After arrival in Jeonju and sleeping at the Ramada Hotel, our best footballers spent the day before a friendly match against South Korea in resting, walking and regular activities.

One of these activities was a press conference, where the media representatives were addressed by the head coach Robert Prosinečki and a team captain Edin Džeko.

The head coach stated:

“We expect a difficult match with a quality opponent. We will do our best to present ourselves in the best way and play a good game at the end of the season. Our host is preparing for the World Cup and this will certainly be a good test for us.”

The Korean media showed great interest in our team, as confirmed by the number of journalists at the press conference, and they were wondering whether Džeko would score a goal tomorrow, so the captain replied:

“Scoring goals is my job, but more important is the final result than who would be a scorer. It does not matter if I’m going to hit or someone else, the result is in the foreground.”

After the press conference, the players also conducted the official training session. The technical staff, headed by the head coach Robert Prosinečki, did not impose a strong pace on the players, because that would be their last match in this season, in which they played a great number of matches.

Although this is the end of the long competitive season, the mood in the national team is clear and everyone is eagerly waiting to start a match against the host, which is a big concern. All tickets were quickly “disappeared”, so the South Korean national team will have a significant support of around 40,000 fans, in the last match before going to the final preparations for the World Cup in Russia.

On the other hand, in far away Jeonju, as in all matches so far, the “Dragons” will not be without support. It was announced the arrival of a smaller group of fans from our country, as well as Bosnians and Herzegovinians who live and work in this part of the world.
