The Dragons' first opponent is going to be be Ukraine on March 21st at "Bilino polje" stadium in Zenica.
One of the most experienced members in our team, Miralem Pjanic, welcomes the upcoming match with plenty of motivation: "I expect the life-changing match. My dream is to go to the Euro with the national team of Bosnia and Herzegovina. For the first time in history, I wore the jersey of my country at the World Cup and I’d like to do the same at the Euro, in which we haven’t participated so far. Certainly a difficult match is ahead, but a huge motivation and our audience will be an advantage for our team."
He also commented on Ukraine’s team: "They have a high-quality team, they are a young and strong. I’ve watched them several times and they proved to be a very good team that caused a lot of problems for Italy in the qualifiers. That says a lot about them."
The popular Mire was also a part of all previous play-offs with our team: "We had a lot of bad luck in the previous play-off matches. You have to be mentally prepared for such games. There are few of us who have more experience than the younger guys, and we have to transfer that to the whole team. I’m looking forward to the upcoming gathering and I come with great motivation."
Pjanic also has a message for all fans of BiH team: "We have fantastic fans and I hope we can make them happy, as well as the whole country. It would mean a lot to the whole of Bosnia and Herzegovina if we qualified for the major competition and we’ll do everything in our power to make that happen."
