Sergej Barbarez Announces Roster for Romania and Cyprus Matches

Bosnia and Herzegovina's national "A" football team will begin its 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers with matches against Romania and Cyprus.

The match against Romania is scheduled for March 21 in Bucharest, while our team will host Cyprus in Zenica on March 24.

Head coach Sergej Barbarez's full roster can be downloaded HERE.

Barbarez commented on this roster: "Unlike the last call-up, we won't be able to count on Kulenović, who's injured. Bajraktarević is also unavailable due to injury problems and a lack of playing time lately. He'll definitely be important for us in the future, but we can't rely on him for this camp. A new name on the list is Plzeň forward Amar Memić, who has impressed with his performances and earned his place in the national team. We're also happy to have Kolašinac and Radeljić back, as they missed the last camp due to injuries."

He also added: "We've also sent eight preliminary invitations to players we're counting on, who could join us at any moment. Among them are young internationals Malić and Čelik, who represent the future of our football. We want to motivate them to keep working hard. They're certainly national team material, and in the long term, they'll be important for us."

Barbarez will hold a press conference ahead of the training camp on March 14 at 11:00 at the FFBiH headquarters in Sarajevo.
