We recorded the first shot at the goal only in the 17^th minute of the match. Antonio Ivančić took a corner kick from the right, and Josip Ćorluka’s header was stopped by Velež goalkeeper Osman Hadžikić. In the 31^st minute, Zrinjski played a nice move on the left side, but after Mariju Ćuže’s cross, Mario Tičinović’s shot was blocked. A minute later, Tičinović once again attempted a shot from 18 meters, but Osman Hadžikić made an excellent save and deflected the ball into the corner. In the 42^nd inute, after a corner kick by Mario Tičinović, Nemanja Bilbija shot wide.

After seven minutes of play in the second half, Zrinjski took the lead. Josip Ćorluka crossed from the right side, and Mario Ćuže sent the ball into the net next to Ante Hrkač at the other post. Velež threatened again in the 79^th minute, but Emir Halilović’s shot went wide. In the 86^th minute, Nemanja Andušić threatened, but his shot also ended up outside the frame of the goal.
