Sarajevo and Velež advanced to the finals, and in addition to the trophy, the winner will also secure a place in the European competitions next season.
On the eve of tomorrow’s match, the head of the FK Sarajevo technical staff, Dženan Uščuplić, said:
"First of all, I expect a good match in a great atmosphere. My wish is to have a full stadium of fans of both teams and to play one strong match. Velež is a quality team that has shown that it is quite concrete and serious in its game. The very fact that we are playing in the finals carries a special responsibility and the players will have to be up to the task in order to fulfil our goal.”
His colleague on the bench in Velež, Feđa Dudić, says:
“We expect one spectacle in the Cup final, because the stake was not higher in one match for a long time, so the fans will surely give great support to their clubs from the first to the last minute. Regardless of who is in what shape, the chances of winning the Cup are equal. Certainly, some of the advantages of Sarajevo are individual quality, especially the players forward, while the team and the collective are on our side.”
The Sarajevo-Velež match is scheduled for tomorrow at 19:h 00 with a live broadcast on Arena Sport TV.
The road to the finals
Both teams reached the final in an impressive way. The nets of Sarajevo and Velež shook only once in the most massive competition. Sarajevo conceded the only goal in the first round in Modriča, while only the team from Široki Brijeg found its way to the Velež net in the second-leg match of the quarterfinals.
