This is a prestigious development program by European football’s governing body, featuring 14 promising referees (10 men and 4 women) from 12 national associations. The goal is to improve top talents through work with experienced mentors, former international referees, who will monitor their development, analyze performances, and provide expert advice over a one-year cycle.

As part of the program, Bandić will work with renowned Belgian referee Frank De Bleeckere, who’ll serve as his mentor. Mentors will observe their candidates officiating in domestic and international matches, with ongoing evaluation and support for further progress.

Through this program, UEFA aims to further strengthen refereeing structures, given the increasing demands of modern football, from physical fitness and tactical understanding to mental strength and making quick, accurate decisions under pressure.

Bandić’s participation represents another recognition of the quality and potential of BiH refereeing, as well as an important step in his continued professional development on the international stage.
