At the City Stadium in Banja Luka, FK Borac faced KÍ Klaksvík from the Faroe Islands tonight in the second leg of the UEFA Europa League third qualifying round.
After 90 minutes of play, Borac overcame the 1:2 deficit from the first game, and during extra time, they scored another goal to advance to the Europa League playoff round. With this victory, the champion of Bosnia and Herzegovina secured a spot in the group stage of one of the European elite competitions.
An excellent move in the 17th minute by David Čavić and Nikola Srećković resulted in the latter sending the ball into the net for 1:0. The visitors equalized via Deni Pavlović in the 53rd minute. Stefan Savić, after an assist from Esmir Hasukić, scored from the edge of the penalty area in the 82nd minute to send the match into extra time. Bart Meijers scored the decisive goal in the 93rd minute, making it 3:1.
