The first half ended without goals despite both teams creating several chances. In the 52nd minute, Slovenia’s Raul Florucz was sent off after elbowing Jurich Carolina, leaving Olimpija with ten men. Borac then pushed forward, with Đorđe Despotović, David Vuković, and Stefan Savić all coming close but failing to convert their opportunities. In the 85th minute, Despotović missed a penalty as Olimpija's goalkeeper Matevž Vidovšek made the save. 

 

The decisive goal came in stoppage time (90+1'), as David Vuković delivered a perfect cross from the right side to the far post, where Sandi Ogrinec scored the goal, securing the victory for Borac.
