A seminar for referees, assistant referees and referee observers of the m:tel BH Premier League, as well as the referee talents from the first leagues of the First Leagues of F BH and FA RS, was held yesterday at the Hills Hotel in Ilidža, organized by the Football Federation.
The guest lecturer at the seminar was one of the best European and world referees, Cüneyt Çakır from Turkey, whose topic of the lecture was “Preparation for the Match and Teamwork”.
Elmir Pilav, executive director of the BH FF Sports Sector and chairman of the Referees and Refereeing Committee, says about this event:
“As part of our regular activities, we held a control seminar for referees, their assistants and referee observers yesterday. According to those present, the seminar was organized at a very high level, and what makes us all happy is that our officials had the opportunity to attend a lecture by one of the best football referees, Cüneyt Çakır, whose experience in refereeing and knowledge should not be neglected. Yesterday, we had the opportunity to see what kind of professional he is and it is certain that his lecture left a great impression on our officials, to whom experiences from the highest level in refereeing were transferred. The BH FF will continue to educate its staff with the aim of further improving the refereeing in our competitions.”
Cüneyt Çakır was born on 23rd November 1976 in Istanbul. He has been on the FIFA referee list since 2006, while he has been on the UEFA list of elite referees since 2010. He regularly refereed derby matches in his country, as well as the finals of major competitions.
