In the first 45 minutes, the home team had the more ball possession and missed two good chances of Markus Rosemberg, while Zrinjski had the best chance in the 33rd minute, when Miljan Govedarica came out alone in front of the Malmo goalkeeper, Johan Dahlin, but sent the ball over the crossbar.
Malmo came to advantage in the 36th minute. After a corner kick, Rasmus Bengtsson reacted the best in crowd in the Zrinjski penalty area, and from five meters sent the ball into the net.
