A telephone session of the FFBiH Competitions Committee was held today, at which a decision was made to temporarily lift the suspension on playing Wwin League and BiH Cup competitive matches at the Asim Ferhatović Hase stadium in Sarajevo during the 2026/27 season.
Following an inspection by an authorized representative of Scottish company “ProPitch,” carried out at the request of the Football Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina and following FK Sarajevo’s request for an inspection and assessment of the pitch condition dated August 17, 2026, an expert report was submitted establishing a significant level of damage to the hybrid surface on the main pitch at Asim Ferhatović Hase Stadium.
Analysis of the measured parameters of the main pitch surface and hybrid fibers, identified permanent damage to the grass surface, meaning it must be replaced with a new hybrid surface. Until the required work is completed, and in accordance with the conclusions of the “ProPitch” expert report, the main pitch at the Asim Ferhatović Hase stadium will not be categorized as a hybrid-surface pitch until it’s restored to its original condition. The cost of repairing the main pitch must be borne by the owner of the stadium.
Due to the established match schedule, and the integrity and calendar of the Wwin League BiH competition in the upcoming period, as well as the inability to find an alternative location for official Wwin League matches, the FFBiH Competitions Committee granted FK Sarajevo conditional approval to play matches at the Asim Ferhatović Hase stadium through the final round of the fall half-season of the 2026/27 Wwin League of BiH.
