Aktobe took the lead in the 45th minute via Umaev, which was the halftime score. Guliashvili later equalized for Sarajevo in the 57th minute. Tanzharikov scored a new goal in the 75th minute for a 1:2 lead for the Kazakh team, ending the regular time with that result. Due to Sarajevo's 0:1 win in the first leg, the game went into extra time. In the 3rd minute of the first period of extra time, Jairo increased the visitors' lead to 1:3; however three minutes later, Renan Oliveira brought the home team back into the game with a goal for 2:3, which was the final result after 120 minutes, leading to penalties. Sarajevo was more successful in the penalty shootout, winning 4:3 and emerging as the final winner of this duel.
