Velež had a great opportunity to take the lead in the 39th minute, but Nermin Haskić missed a penalty. After that, in the closing minutes of the first half, Inter Escaldes scored two quick goals via Guillaume Lopez; the first one in the 44th, and the second in the 2nd minute of stoppage time, heading into the break with a 2:0 lead.
Velež narrowed the gap to 2:1 in the 53rd minute through Ante Oreč, but just four minutes later, Domi Berlanga increased the home team's lead to 3:1. The same player scored again in the 84th minute for 4:1. In stoppage time, Andreu scored another goal for the team from Andorra, setting the final score at 5:1.
After a 1:1 draw in Sarajevo, this defeat ended Velež's European campaign for this season.
