Today, complete training for 12 referees and 8 assistant referees, who will in the future serve as VAR and AVAR officials in Wwin league matches, concluded at the FFBiH Training Center in Zenica. The training, which began in April, consisted of several phases in accordance with FIFA IAAP requirements, with the final part being 11 test games with VAR, organized over the past and this week in Banja Luka and Zenica.
All participants successfully completed the training and obtained VAR certification in accordance with FIFA standards, enabling them to officiate matches with VAR and serve as VAR / AVAR officials.
The training was conducted by VAR instructors Ognjen Valjić and Elmir Pilav, with support from Croatian colleagues Bruno Marić and Tomislav Šetka.
Next week, training continues for the second group of referees and assistant referees from the Wwin league list, to ensure readiness for the start of the next competitive season.
Also, at the beginning of July, VAR instructors will visit all Wwin league clubs to give presentations to players and coaches in order to familiarize them with VAR system principles and decision-making processes.
