Zrinjski qualify for the UEFA Conference knockout phase

rinjski drew 1–1 with Vienna’s Rapid in Mostar this evening in their Matchday 6 fixture of the UEFA Conference League.

This point was enough for the “Nobles” to finish the league phase in 23rd place and secure qualification for the next round of the competition.

Louis Schaub gave the Austrian side the lead in the 11th minute, while Zrinjski equalised in the third minute of second-half stoppage time through an own goal by Nenad Cvetković.

Zrinjski’s starting lineup was: Goran Karačić, Kerim Memija (64’ Karlo Abramović), Ilija Mašić, Duje Dujmović, Petar Mamić, Igor Savić, Hrvoje Barišić (79’ Marijan Ćavar), Mario Ćuže (12’ Jakov Pranjić), Antonio Ivančić, Leo Mikić (79’ Matej Šakota), Nemanja Bilbija (64’ Vitalie Damașcan).

Possible opponents for the Zrinjski in the UEFA Conference League next round are Lausanne-Sport (Switzerland) and Crystal Palace (England). The draw will take place on 16 January in Nyon.
