The assistant coach Sanjin Alagić underlines that the team must enter the upcoming match with a maximum seriousness:
“We used the first day to introduce the weekly program we prepared. Some of them arrived only yesterday, so we made easier relaxing training session. Today, we have already begun to work more seriously. We expect a quality match in which we want to score three points. The first match is always the toughest, and Moldova is not a team that could be underestimated. Of course, they are not at the level of Germany or Belgium, but if we do not enter the match with a right approach, they can make us trouble. That is why we will prepare very seriously, because our goal is to open the qualifications with a victory.”
Kristijan Stanić is one of the players who received the first invitation for the U-21 team. Young striker of Zrinjski is happy because of the given opportunity:
“I am very happy to get an invitation to the national team and I will do my best to impose myself to the head coach. I am perfectly accepted by the teammates, and some of them I know from before, especially those who played in Zrinjski. I will try my best to draw attention to myself and possibly earn more minutes in the match with Moldova.”
The chosen players of Vinko Marinović will perform two training sessions tomorrow.
