The guests took the lead in the 24th minute. Captain Davi Pejičić took a free kick from twenty meters from the left side and accurately shot into the opposite corner for 0:1.
In the second half, Admir Raščić’s team created several opportunities that they did not use, but the Slovenians scored two more goals at the end of the match.
First, Arman Durmiši shot from the edge of the penalty area, goalkeeper Aldin Aleta deflected the ball briefly, and Nik Podlesnik ran onto it and sent it into the net.
In the 89th minute, after a corner from the left, Alin Kumer Čelik was the highest in the jump and scored a header from the five-meter area for the final 0:3.
After the match, head coach Admir Raščić said:
“At first, when someone who didn’t watch the game looks at the result, they will say that the Slovenians completely outplayed us. However, according to what is shown on the pitch, this is far from the truth. The first half was not spectacular either from our side or from their side. In the second, we had the initiative on the pitch, created a lot of opportunities, but unfortunately, we failed to use of them. Towards the end, we made a mistake that the guests used of and doubled the advantage, later after the break we conceded another goal. When everything is considered, we cannot say that Slovenia won undeservedly, but the result is still too high and does not reflect the true situation on the pitch. We have a rematch in two days and I expect a more favourable result.”
These national teams will play another match in Zenica on 8th February at 11:00 h.
