BH U-21 team unsuccessful against Germany

The U-21 national team of Bosnia and Herzegovina was defeated at the Bilino Polje in Zenica tonight for the first time in qualifications for the EURO 2021. Better than the chosen players of Vinko Marinović was the German team which won by 0:2.

Already in the 2nd minute, the guests had a good opportunity when Robin Hack hit the crossbar with a shot from the five-meter area.

Benjamin Hadžić entered the opponent’s penalty area on the right in the 8th minute, but he hit his team-mate Petar Bojo and the ball was bounced in the goal-out.

After that, there was no opportunity until the 29th minute, and then the Germans came to the advantage. Hack shot from the edge of the penalty area, and Vladan Kovačević shortly bounced the ball on which Luca Kilian ran and hit the net from about ten meters.

In finish of the first half, Johannes Eggestein had a good attempt from about ten meters, but Kovačević intervened well.

Zinedin Mustedanagić made a corner-kick from the left in the 73rd minute, and a shot by head of Vladan Danilović from the five-meter area was turned into the corner again by Markus Schubert.

Mustedanagić also tried well in the 78th minute, but the ball went beside the goal after his shot from the edge of the penalty area.

A minute later, Germany doubled the lead. Mergim Berisha centred from the right, and Lukas Nmecha sent the ball by head behind the back of Kovačević.

There were no more chances by the end of the match.

The young national team of Bosnia and Herzegovina will continue its qualifications on 15th November, when they will play in Wales.
