After 80 minutes of the game, there were no goals, so there were penalty kicks, when the Armenians were better and won with the result of 5:4.
The BH team had the only chance in the first half in the 22nd minute, when Denis Alijagić shot from the left, but the ball went beside a goal.
In the first minute of the second half, Dino Nuhanović hit the crossbar from about 18 meters. Alijagić tried from distance in the 59th minute, but the Armenian goalkeeper Rafayel Manasyan stopped his shot.
Faruk Hodžić passed on the left in the 65th minute and sent the ball to Alijagić, who kicked from 10 meters, but Manasiyan intervened greatly, and this was the last chance of the match.
After the match, the acting head coach of the BH team, Adin Mulaosmanović, stated:
“The match was difficult for both teams. There was a cramp in the game of our team, as they were bound to play a quality final pass. I cannot be dissatisfied with the game, because we created several excellent opportunities, we hit a crossbar too. On the other hand, the opponent did not do anything that could endanger our goal. At the end, the penalty kicks are lottery where today we were not lucky. Congratulations to the Armenians, and we are turning to the next opponent.”
In the second round of the tournament, BH will meet Gibraltar on 28th April at 14:00 h.
