Juniors defeated in Poland

The U-19 national team of Bosnia and Herzegovina was defeated tonight in Gdina by Poland with 0:2 in the first-round match of the qualifying group 5 for the European Championship 2023.

The home team took the lead in the 40th minute. Antoni Kozubal shot diagonally from the right side, goalkeeper Luka Pršlja deflected the ball, but only to Mateusz Kowalczyk who was accurate for 0:1.

In the 88th minute, Milosz Brzozowski sent the ball from the left side to Szymon Michalski, who scored a goal from ten meters away and set the final score of the match.

The BH team performed in the following line-up: Luka Pršlja, Enedin Mulalić (27th, Danijel Mijatović), Dominik Peštić, Rijad Smajić, Savo Šušić (46th, Seid Pramenković), Haris Ališah (84th, Niko Kovač), Anes Krdžalić (75th, Antonio Prskalo), Irfan Ramić, Zvonimir Plavčić (46th, Neriman Kočević), Matej Šakota, Aleksandar Kahvić.

In the second match of the group, Estonia beat Italy 2:0.

The second-round matches are scheduled for 24th September. Bosnia and Herzegovina will play with Italy at 12:00 h, while the Poland-Estonia match starts at 18:00 h.
