Head coach Branislav Krunić shared his thoughts on the match: "Congrats to the team on a well-played game. In the first half, we weren’t quite at the level we needed to be in certain moments. However the second half was spot on-we were the better team and deserved the win. We confirmed the good performance against the Netherlands and wrapped up this cycle in the best possible way. I’m especially glad the players showed character, unity, and a strong desire to win away from home. It’s a great sign that the team’s growing from game to game. I’d also like to thank the fans for the support we had in Koper."
With this win, our team moved to first place in the group with 5 points, ahead of Norway and Israel who have 3 each (Norway with two games in hand). The Netherlands sit fourth with 2 points and one game less, while Slovenia have one point.
