The guests had the first serious opportunity in the 25th minute. After the cross shot from a free kick from about thirty meters, the ball came to the five-meter area to Niko Božičković, who shot over the goal.
The BH cadets retaliate five minutes later. Bakir Nurković passed on the right side and threw the ball into the penalty area for David Čamber, whose shot was stopped by the Montenegrin goalkeeper Petar Bobičić.
The captain of the visiting team, Nikola Medojević, shot strongly from twenty meters in the 36th minute, but the ball went over the bar.
The team of Nermin Šabić opened the second half more offensively, but they created the first opportunity in the 59th minute. Substitute player Ante Prusina fought for a position for a shot from the edge of the penalty area, but goalkeeper Bobičić was up to the task.
However, the guests gained the advantage only two minutes later with a goal by Milan Barać.
Prusina had another chance in the 71st minute when he had a breakthrough into the opponent’s penalty area, but he hit diagonally from the left side the outside of the net.
By the end of the match both teams had a few more chances, but the result did not change.
After the match, the head coach of the U-17 national team of BiH, Nermin Šabić, stated:
“We are not satisfied with the result, nor with the game. What we saw through the training sessions that the players can do, was not realized on the pitch today. We had possession and we tried to endanger the opponent’s goal, but the Montenegrins were very dangerous from the counter attacks. We did not react well on several occasions, so we were punished from one situation. We have a lot of work ahead of us and I hope that we will play much better on Thursday and achieve a more positive result.”
These national teams will play another match on 24th June at 10:00 h.
