Players took their commitments seriously

The U-21 national team of Bosnia and Herzegovina will travel to Podgorica tomorrow, where they will start a new qualification cycle with the match against Montenegro on 29th March.

The head coach Sloboda Starčević has only words of praise for the work of our young national team players:

“I am glad that the players responded positively to the plan and program that we prepared, and they are fulfilling their obligations very seriously. We are getting better day by day and I believe that we will be maximally ready for the match with Montenegro. We don’t have any injured players and I hope it will stay that way until the match.

Starčević does not have much information about the opponent:

“We have little information about the opponent, as well as they about us, because these are new generations. They played one match in a similar line-up in the last qualifiers, but only before the match will we know which players will be fielded. I hope that, in this mutual “ignorance”, we will have more luck and that we will win three points.”

Midfielder Stefan Santrač says about the preparations:

“We work quite well and hard. The progress in the team’s coordination is becoming clearer. All the guys perform their duties professionally and the atmosphere is at a high level. I expect the best from the match with Montenegro, and that is a victory. I believe that we can respond to all the requests that the head coach and his associates put before us.”

Santrač believes that this generation of players can achieve great results:

“I think we have quality and togetherness, which is very important for success. The group is strong, but we can deal with competitors to qualify for the EURO. What I can say with certainty is that we will do our best to fulfil our common dream, and that is to go to a big competition.”
