Bosnia and Herzegovina’s national under-16 football team drew 2:2 with Latvia in the opening match at the City stadium in Ugljevik, before losing the penalty shootout where the visitors came out on top. According to UEFA Development Tournament rules, BiH earned 1 point and Latvia took 2.
Muhamed Džakmić’s team started the game very well and pulled ahead in 2' via Damjan Jović, while Andrija Pejaković scored for 2:0 in 44'. In the second half, Latvia managed to equalize in 76' and the first minute of stoppage time.
In the shootout, the Latvians converted three times from the spot, while Mak Pita scored the only goal for our team in the first round.
