Over the past few days, the young cadets stayed in Sarajevo, working hard and preparing for the upcoming tournament.
Head coach Asmir Avdukić pointed out that the primary goal of this event was to get to know the players and lay the foundation for future work: “This is our first camp with the 2010 generation and, above all, it’s important for us to get to know each other – both for us to meet the players and for them to understand the demands and the way we work in the national team. From day one, the boys have shown seriousness, discipline, and a strong desire to work. The atmosphere within the team is excellent and I believe these matches will mean a lot for our continued development.”
At the tournament, our national team will play three matches at Tórsvøllur Stadium – on February 27 against Iceland, on March 1 against the Faroe Islands, and on March 3 against Estonia.
UEFA Development Tournaments give young players the opportunity to gain international experience and compete with peers from other European countries, and for the BiH team this will be an important test and a guideline for continuing work with this generation.
