From the original list, due to injuries, the head coach Slaven Musa and his associates will not be able to count on Strahinja Manojlović and Amar Drina this time, and Anis Sefo and Faruk Duraković came to the gathering instead.
The assistant coach in the junior national team, Zoran Dragišić, says about this gathering:
“First of all, we are very happy that we are on the green field again and that we have gathered the U-19 national team players after a long time. This gathering will be good for us to see the condition of the players, because everything we do is in order to better prepare for the qualifications for the European Championship. At the moment, there are only players from Bosnia and Herzegovina and we will miss the national team players from the diaspora. We will try to play some variants that will be useful to us later.”
National team member Hamza Gasal points out that the team is eager for group work:
“I am just happy to be back. We must follow all health and epidemiological recommendations, but that will not affect our work. We all longed for joint trainings and we are ready to work to the maximum and show our quality. We were all in touch during the break, but we are happy to be in one place again and to spend a few days together.”
Midfielder David Čavic also does not hide his satisfaction with the gathering:
“I am happy for the invitation to the national team. These preparations will mean a lot to us, because we haven’t been together for a long time. We worked individually in the past, but we missed this way of training. This is an opportunity for us to raise our physical fitness to a higher level and I hope that we will finish the preparations without injuries.”
The juniors did one training session today, while two of them are scheduled in the next two days. Preparations end on Saturday, when anthropological testing will be done.
