U-21 national team members gathered

The U-21 national team of Bosnia and Herzegovina gathered today in the FF BG Training Centre in Zenica, which will play one friendly match with Malta and two with Qatar in Croatia in June.

Head coach Slobodan Starčević says about the preparations:

“All the invited players arrived at the gathering with good energy. Some are less, some more tired, but I believe that we will quickly prepare them for the matches ahead of us and that we will fit the new players we have invited into our model of play. I expect the team in these matches to show that this generation has quality and that we are better prepared for what awaits us in the qualifications.”

Defender Đorđe Milojević said:

“We gathered today and the atmosphere in the national team is great. The skeleton of the team consists of players who played in the previous qualifications and I hope that we have the quality to qualify for the European Championship. The team is good and the matches ahead of us will definitely help us prepare for the qualifiers.”

Adrian Leon Barišić also expects the team to be ready for the matches in the ninth month:

“There are a lot of new players at this gathering, but the goal of friendly matches is to show to whom can be counted in official matches. What is most important are the matches that await us in September against Sweden and the Republic of Ireland. We subordinated everything to that and it is good that we started to play in time.”

The players will leave for Croatia on 3rd June, and the next day a match with Malta will be played in Lučko. Matches with Qatar are scheduled for 7th and 11th June in Velika Gorica.
