The head coach Marinović stated after the match:

“We are satisfied with the match, the victory and the attitude of the team to the game. We were able to do what we planned for this gathering and that’s the most important thing. The players are now to continue to work in their clubs, and we will follow them. In the defence phase, we played quite well, where we allowed the opponent maybe only one chance. At the attack phase, it could be better, but it still has to be improved. We are just creating a team and we’ll see how it will look like.”

A scorer of the first goal, Nardin Mulahusejnović, is also satisfied:

“I’m glad for the goal and the victory. We presented ourselves in good light, although we still need to play. I’m happy that we all got a chance to show up and I hope we justified the trust. This generation wants to make a step forward and go to a big competition.”

Peter Boyo says that the team deservedly won:

“This was our first match and that’s why it was important to us. We all gave our maximum and deservedly won. They also wanted to win, but we were better today. I am satisfied with the assistance, but the most important thing is that we won and showed that we had a potential.”
