The head coach Vinko Marinović says on the match with Portugal and qualifications for EURO 2019:

“I congratulate the players on good games and dedication in this qualifying cycle. We were in the game to the end and we came to the struggle with a strong Portuguese team to qualify for the play-off. They nevertheless showed that they had individual quality and that they were currently better. We were good at opening the match, we had some chances. We did our best this evening, as well as during the whole qualifications.”

The BH U-21 team finished their qualifications in the third place in group 10, behind Romania and Portugal, and ahead of Wales, Switzerland and Liechtenstein.
