“We realised what we announced before the match, which is that the girls would do their best. We played well against an extremely quality team. It is a team that played at the last European Championship with a lot of players who played against us today. We have nothing to blame our players for, they did everything we asked for. Surely that remains regret for a better result, but when all is summed up, a victory of Belgium is well deserved.”

The captain Irma Jusanović also commented on today’s match:

“We got into the match great and played well, strong and solid in the first half. In the second half, the Belgian women put more pressure and we did not respond in the best way to such a game. We now have a match with Sweden. We will try harder to make a good result in that match and stay in game for qualifying to the European Championship.”
