Young BH national team began qualifications with a convincing victory

The U-21 team of Bosnia and Herzegovina beat Moldova with 4:0 today in the first qualifying match of Group 9 for the 2021 European U-21 Championship.

Besim Šerbečić, after a corner in the 23rd minute, scored by head the first goal for the BH team.

Zinedin Mustedanagić scored two similar goals in the 44th and 55th minute. Both times, he hit the opposite corner of the goal of Moldova from the right side of the opponent's penalty area.

Final 4:0 was set by Marijan Čavar with an excellent shot from the edge of the penalty area.

After the match, the head coach Vinko Marinović stated:

“I am satisfied and congratulate the players on their victory. The pitch made little trouble for us, but after the goal everything was easier. We controlled the game and won a well-deserved victory. All players played quite well. Our first victory is important for our self-confidence, because there are matches against strong opponents ahead of us. By September we have plenty of time to play the team better.”

The chosen ones of Vinko Marinović will continue qualifications on 10th September when they will play the away match in Belgium.
