The head coach Vinko Marinović says on the upcoming qualifying match versus Moldova:
“Almost all players have arrived. Ermedin Demirović and Suan Bešić will join us tonight. We are waiting for a match with Moldova that has a good potential, especially at the attack stage. It is important to play the first match at the highest quality, because, with victory, it would be easier for us later. The group is demanding, but it’s also a good thing, because we will play the real matches. I hope we will have access we had in past qualifications.”
Marinović also commented on the health conditions:
“We have no injured players. We planned to invite the attacker of Hannover, Benjamin Hadžić, for this match, but we could not count on him this time because of injury. The other players on the list are healthy and we hope it will be the same up to the match.”
The national player Besim Šerbečić points out that the first match is important:
“We expect tough qualifications, because the group is high quality, but all of them are like that. Today there are no easy opponents. We will go match by match. Now we are in the focus of Moldova. In this preparatory period, we will analyse them. Our first match is very important and we need victory.”
The goalkeeper Vladan Kovačević:
“The match with Moldova will not be easy, but in these few days we will be prepared. We will give our utmost to achieve victory. The group is tough and we have to seriously approach all matches. There are players who played in the previous qualifications and who have conveyed a positive atmosphere to this generation. This will surely be our priority in this cycle.”
The match with Moldova is at the Grbavica Stadium in Sarajevo on 26th March.
