Goalkeeper Almina Hodžić has been called up for this event by head coach Selver Hodžić.
This reliable player says she’s in top shape for the upcoming games: "I'm healthy and ready for the matches ahead. I completed my preparations and followed a special program with my coaches to be as prepared as possible for these crucial playoffs, which are important not just for me, but for our whole team."
Hodžić spoke about the upcoming opponent: "As always, no matter who the opponent is, our goal is to give our best. Only with that approach can we achieve the results we want. Serbia is a strong opponent, and we all know what kind of team they have and the caliber of their players. Each one of us needs to be at her best to prove why we’re here."
She also expects fan support from the stands in Zenica: "Football is played for the fans, and in Zenica, we’ve shown time and time again that with their support, we can stand up to the best teams. All that support from the stands gives us the push we need, and I believe it won't be lacking in the upcoming game."
Almina Hodžić shared that she never had role models in her career: "I don't have role models in a sporting sense. I paved my own path and faced every challenge along the way. I can say that I’ve shown that any obstacle can be overcome if you truly believe in what you’re doing, and that all the effort has been worth it."
Her message for young girls aspiring to play football: "Never give up on your dreams because if you truly want something, you can achieve it, no matter the sport. When you find yourself at the top, representing your country alongside the best players, you’ll see that all the hard work pays off."
