Convincing Win for the Dragons

Bosnia and Herzegovina’s women’s national“A” team defeated Liechtenstein 13:1 today in Zenica, in the Round 2 match of Group C1 in the 2027 World Cup qualifiers.

Already in the 2' Marija Ana Milinković shot from distance and hit the spot where the crossbar meets the post. The BiH team took the lead in the 6'. Emina Ekić took a corner from the right, and Milinković rose highest to head the ball into the net for 1:0. In the 10' it was already 2:0 for us after an own goal by Felicia Frick.

The visitors had a good move in the 13' and managed to reduce the lead. Elis Eiler-Kuhne played a cutback from the left to the box, where Lena Goppel sent the ball past Somea Položen. Selver Hodžić’s team scored their third goal in the 15'. Again Ekić took the corner, and this time Aldina Hamzić reacted best in the box to score.

In the 17' Sofija Krajšumović broke well down the right and crossed to the near post, where captain Milena Nikolić cleverly backheeled the ball into the net. Krajšumović assisted again in the 24' for Melisa Hasanbegović’s goal. A fine move by Ekić and Selma Kapetanović in the 31' was finished off by Nikolić for another goal.

In the 33' Krajšumović played a ball through the middle for Ekić, who rounded the goalkeeper and scored the seventh. Ekić added another in the 35' after a solo run. Marija Aleksić converted a penalty in the 45' for 9:1. Andrea Grebenar made it 10:1 in the 45'+3.
