Female seniors gathered

The women’s “A” national team of Bosnia and Herzegovina gathered today in Ilidža, and in TK FK Sarajevo in Butmir, the She-Dragons have already done one training session.

Tonight, the arrival of captain Milena Nikolić is expected, while the other national team players have already arrived for the preparations for the matches with Azerbaijan and Montenegro.

On the eve of today’s training session, the head coach Samira Hurem said:

“We have started preparations for these important matches. Despite certain health problems, all the players managed to come to the gathering. The captain will join us tonight. Amela Kršo and Almina Hodžić, players we could not count on before due to injuries, have returned to us. Zerina Piskić is also a returnee to the “A” team. This team can take another step forward and qualify for the play-offs. We all want to do our best and now the most important thing for us is that all the players are healthy and ready for the matches, and that we start with victories.”

About opponents Hurem says:

“Azerbaijan is somewhat unknown to us, but we followed them. It is clear to us that they are also progressing and investing a lot in women’s football. It is an aggressive and racing team that is not easy to play with. Everyone is investing and advancing today, so that everyone can beat everyone. However, I believe that if we are with the strongest squad and if all the players are ready, we will show that we are of better quality than Azerbaijan and Montenegro. Of course, the pitch is the criterion for that and we have to be at the maximum.”

The match with Azerbaijan is scheduled for 7th April at the “Grbavica”.
