Head coach Samira Hurem says about the next opponents:
“Very difficult matches await us. The Danes are the absolute favourites in this group and have already done great things in previous matches. They score a lot of goals at home. It will be very difficult for us, but we will do our best to try to thwart their attacks, and on the other hand to try to do something”, said Hurem and commented on the national team of Russia:
“The second match will certainly depend a lot on the first one. Russia is also strong, but the small advantage is that we play with them on our pitch. It is important for the sake of self-confidence and how we will play the match with Denmark. Basically, the girls are ready. We are sorry that we will not be able to count on captain Milena Nikolić in the first match. We know how important she is for this team and we hope that she will be ready for Russia.”
National team player Melisa Hasanbegović stated:
“We have a match with Denmark ahead of us, which is the favourite, but we are not giving up in advance and we will do our best to make the best possible result in this away match. We started the qualifications badly and I hope that we will correct that in these matches. I believe we will play better than last month. Russia is also a strong opponent, but I hope that we will manage to make a good result on our pitch.”
Gloria Slišković also believes that ahead of the BH team are demanding matches:
“We will have matches with the toughest opponents in our group. We are improving after the worse results after the first two matches and we will do our best to make the best possible results. I am happy that at the age of 16 I am already part of the “A” national team and I hope that with quality work in the coming period I will impose myself and be a part of this national team for a long time.”
Our national team will play with Denmark on 21st October in Viborg, while they will play with the Russians on 26th October this year in Zenica.
