Head coach Samira Hurem appreciates tomorrow’s opponent:
“A challenging match awaits us. Israel is a very high quality and strong team. They play on home pitch and are surely focused on winning points after a draw with Malta. They have strong and fast offensive players. We worked a lot on tactical preparation. If the girls fulfil their tasks, it is certain that we will be satisfied with the game and win points.”
Captain Milena Nikolić expects points from tomorrow’s away match:
“The Israeli national team showed quality against Italy and they scored two goals against the favourite in our group. However, a few days ago, they played tie with Malta, which we beat at home with 2:0, which gives us additional confidence for tomorrow’s game. Although we miss a few standard players, we had plenty of time to prepare and are ready to give our maximum tomorrow and score new points.”
The match will be played at the Ramat Gan Stadium and will be officiated by four referees from Spain. The referee is Marta Frias Acedo, the assistant referees are Matilda Esteves-Garcia Biajakue and Iragartze Fernández Esesúmaga, while the fourth official is María Dolores Martinez Madrona.
Israel and B&H have met 3 times so far. Israel had two victories and Bosnia and Herzegovina won one match. The goal difference is also on the side of Israel, that is 11:6.
