Throughout the match, the selected players of Samira Hurem had a field initiative and created chances in front of the home team’s goal and achieved a fifth triumph in their seventh qualifying match.
The BH team had the first opportunity in the 6th minute. Šejla Selimović centred from the left, and Sofija Krajšumović sent the ball by head over the goal from seven meters.
Krajšumović has already redeemed herself for that miss in the 10th minute. After Amela Kršo’s pass from her half, the speedy striker entered the opponent’s penalty area and, asquint from the right, sent the ball into the opposite corner for 0:1.
Sofija Krajšumović scored the second goal by head from the five-meter area in the 26th minute after a centre-shot of Dajana Spasojević from the right.
The home players had good chances in the 30th and 31st minute, but the shots from the left of Maria Farrugia and Dorianne Theuma were stopped by Dijana Haračić.
Selma Kapetanović strongly shot from about 20 meters in the 37th minute, but the ball went beside the goal.
Haley Bugeja had a good try from the right in the 42nd minute, but Haračić was once again at the height of the task.
Inspired Sofija Krajšumović enrolled in the scorer list for the third time in the 54th minute. Dajana Spasojević, from the middle of the pitch, sent the ball to the right for Krajšumović, who scored the third goal for Bosnia and Herzegovina with a lob-shot.
After that goal, a tempo of the game dropped and there was no greater chance until the 79th minute, when Malta reduced the advantage of our team. Bugeya passed on the left and sent the ball in the middle for Emma Xuereb, who scored a goal from about ten meters.
In the 82nd minute, Krajšumović took the ball from the opponent’s defenders and came out alone in front of goalkeeper Janice Xuereb, who stopped the attempt of the BH player.
Brenda Borg had a good opportunity to score in the 2nd minute of the additional time, but her shot from the edge of the penalty area was turned into the corner by Haračić.
Three minutes later, the same player was best in the penalty area of the BH national team and sent the ball into the net from the five-meter area for the final 2:3.
