Head coach Samira Hurem points out that the team expects a more demanding match than the one with Israel, which was played on 5th March in Zenica:
“The match with Malta is completely different from Israel. We will play in the field with an artificial turf. It will not be enough to give our best; we will have to provide more than that and thus create chances. The Malta national team plays great defence and we will need patience and calmness in the game. I believe our players will be able to score points in this game as well, although a very difficult match is behind us and the fatigue was great. The good thing is that all the invited players are ready for the match.”
Defender Melisa Hasanbegović also expects a tough match:
“I think this will be one tough match for us, probably harder than when we played in Sarajevo against Malta and won. We respect them and know the qualities of tomorrow’s opponent, but our expectation is that we will gain 3 points. We play away and it will be very difficult, but we hope that this time we will show that we are a better team than Malta.”
BH and Malta have met 5 times so far. Four victories were achieved by the BH team while one match ended with a draw. Goal difference is 7:1 in favour of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
