The strategy was adopted by the FFBiH Executive Board and covers the period from 2025 to 2029.
Ivana Vlaić, Senior Associate for Women's Football Development at FFBiH, commented: "We intentionally decided to announce our strategy today, linking it with this important event, the playoffs for the European Championship. The title itself 'Our Time, Our Turn' speaks volumes, and we believe it's time to take a major step forward for women's football in our country. We've conducted a thorough analysis of the current situation and set specific goals to work towards in the coming period.
One of these goals is to increase the number of participants in women's football. We're also laying foundations for the national team, with a focus on clubs and competitions. The strategy includes staff trainings, and one key area of improvement where much work is needed is infrastructure. Many clubs play on secondary pitches, and it's our duty to provide facilities on par with those of men's clubs. We won't neglect communication and marketing, and we expect media coverage of women's football to improve in the future."
