After today’s qualifying match with Italy, the head coach of the women’s national team of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Samira Hurem, stated:
“We opened the game well and played well in the first half, better than in the match against Denmark. The girls had no fear and played resolutely, but the Italians punished our two mistakes which were the fruit of the youth and inexperience of these players. Italy is a strong opponent, but after three awarded penalties, we started to fall. We did our best and we got a new experience from this match as well. I’m sorry that the result is high, but we didn’t deserve to lose with such a difference.”
The BH national team has another match in the current qualifiers in Georgia, and Hurem is satisfied with what has been achieved in this cycle:
“These are the best qualifications that our national team has played, in which we have already won 15 points. I hope that we will achieve a victory in Georgia and improve the points balance. I hope that in the next match we will be able to count on our experienced players, who we missed now. It is certain that we have made significant progress in these qualifications and I believe that we will continue to grow.”
