The topic of the meeting was the performance of our national team in the qualifications for the EURO 2021, where Samira Hurem’s team won third place in the tough group behind Denmark and Italy, and ahead of Malta, Israel and Georgia.
Excellent results also brought progress on the FIFA ranking list where the Dragons are now in 57th place with 1412 points.
After the meeting, Adnan Džemidžić stated:
“I am glad that today we had the opportunity to host the head coach Samira Hurem and our women’s national team players. They made us proud with their games and commitment in the jersey with the national coat of arms, and their result came through the diligent work of the entire organization. The FF BH has been investing a lot in our national teams for many years, in order to create the best possible conditions for their work and development, and this result was produced from that. Once again, we congratulate the head coach, her technical staff and all the national team players who performed in these qualifications on the achieved results and who represented this country and this Federation in the best possible way.”
Samira Hurem also did not hide her satisfaction with the results of the BH women’s national team:
"We won 18 points, which is the greatest success ever of the BH women’s national team. Throughout the qualifying cycle, our young and talented team played very well. The players showed character, fighting spirit, desire and represented our country in the best way. All this would have been difficult to achieve, if we did not have the support of the FF BH. This result is the result of many years of investment in women’s football and we believe that, with the talent we have, the results in the future can only be better.”
