Samira Hurem’s chosen ones entered the match offensively and already in the 7th minute, Minela Gačanica and Marija Ana Milinković did not take advantage of two excellent opportunities. Gačanica’s shot from ten meters was stopped by the goalkeeper of Belarus, while in the continuation of the action, Milinković tried diagonally from the right side, but the ball went wide. In the 15th minute, Ena Šabanagić shot hard from a distance, and this time the ball went over the goal.
The She-Dragons’ initiative paid off in the 17th minute. Amela Kršo from the left sent the ball to the opposite post for Minela Gačanica, who was accurate for 1:0. After that goal, until the end of the first half, the game took place between two penalty areas, with no major opportunities.
In the continuation, Gačanica and Milinković were the first to threaten again, but they were not successful in the 53rd and 55th minutes. In the 62nd minute, Emina Ekić hit the crossbar from the edge of the penalty area, and the ball bounced to Maja Jelčić, whose attempt from close range was blocked by goalkeeper Nataliya Voskobovich. In the second match of the group, the Czech Republic beat Slovenia with 3:0, and with 13 points, kept the first place in the group and qualified for League A.
Bosnia and Herzegovina finished the first edition of the UEFA Women’s Nations League in second place in the group with 11 points, and will try to win a place in a higher rank in February through the play-offs. The opponent of the She-Dragons will be one of the third-ranked teams from League A, and the draw will be held on 11th December at 13:00 h in Nyon.
The third place in the group was won by Slovenia with 6 points, while Belarus finished fourth with 2 points.
