The head coach Samira Hurem invited a lot of new players to this gathering, who will have the opportunity to impose themselves to the technical staff for the qualifications that will start next month.
The assistant coach in the women’s “A” national team, Ivan Kvesić, says about this national team action:
“The good thing is that we have this gathering ahead of the qualifications, where we want to check if there are more players that we will be able to count on in official matches. We want to see how much they have progressed in the past period and if we get some reinforcement for the qualifications, it will mean a lot to us. Also, our goal is to continue with quality games and to achieve a good result against Northern Macedonia.”
One of the more experienced players in these preparations is Alma Kamerić and she will lead the team as a captain:
“We got together yesterday, but we are only completed today, because some players played for their clubs during the weekend. We have a lot of new national team players here, but the atmosphere is great. We, who have been here for a long time, help the younger players to fit in. This is also a new experience for me, because I am here in the role of captain. It is a great honour for me to have been given that trust and to have the support of the technical staff and teammates. The team has been rejuvenated and we will certainly give our best to achieve victory in the match ahead.”
Ajla Zukić, one of the younger players on the list of the senior national team, is optimistic on the eve of the match with Northern Macedonia:
“I am overjoyed to be in the “A” team. The head coach, assistant coaches, players, we are all here with one goal, to better prepare for the next match. Everything is at a very high level and I will do my best to justify this invitation and show that I deserve to be here. We are working well and I expect to win on Thursday.”
The Bosnia and Herzegovina-Northern Macedonia match is scheduled for 26th August at 17:00 h at the BH FF Training Centre in Zenica.
