On the eve of the start of the match, a minute of silence was paid to the former head coach of the women’s “A” national team of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Dževad Bekić, who passed away yesterday.
The guests took the lead in the 18th minute. Daniela Sabatino played to Aurora Galli, who sent the ball diagonally from the right side of the BH penalty area to the opposite corner of the goal of Envera Hasanbegović for 0:1.
Samira Hurem’s team had their first chance in the 24th minute. Đula Velagić sent the ball from the middle of the field to the edge of the opponent’s penalty area towards Marija Damjanović, but the Italian goalkeeper Laura Giuliani ran out of her goal in time and prevented the BH team’s striker to equalize the score.
Italy doubles the advantage in the 39th minute. Cristiana Girelli entered the penalty area of the BH national team, Envera Hasanbegović defended her first shot, but the ball bounced to the Italian player, who was accurate for 0:2 from the second attempt.
