The women’s “A” national team of Bosnia and Herzegovina defeated the Montenegrin national team 2:0 in Podgorica today in the qualifying match for the 2023 World Cup.
In the first half, the BH team had the field initiative and the She-Dragons tried more to endanger the opponent’s goal, while the home players did not threaten the goalkeeper Envera Hasanbegović. Such a game paid off in the 21st minute, when Merjema Medić excellently sent the ball to the right side for Sofija Krajšumović, who shot accurately for the advantage of the She-Dragons.
In the continuation, the Montenegrins started with a more open game, which brought them several opportunities, but the national team of Bosnia and Herzegovina was more specific, so Selma Kapetanović missed a great chance in the 76th minute, when she sent the ball over the goal unhindered from 15 meters.
Our national team performed a good action in the 81st minute. Amela Kršo from the left sent the ball into the middle for Milena Nikolić who hit the net for the final 2:0.
The She-Dragons will play in Azerbaijan on 6th September, and with the victory in that match, they have a real chance to achieve a place in the play-offs.
