The BH team, which entered the match more offensively, had its first chance in the 19^th minute, but the ball went next to the goal after Milena Nikolić’s shot from the edge of the penalty area.

Dajana Spasojević also tried from a distance in the 29^th minute, but Malta goalkeeper Janice Xuereb turned the ball into a corner.

Bosnia and Herzegovina took the lead in the 36^th minute. After the corner kick taken by Selma Kapetanović from the right side, in the crowd in the penalty area, the ball bounced to Maja Jelčić, who was accurate from about 7 meters for 1:0.
